Problem with writing ID column
naik
I use a Generate ID operator to add to a column to an existing ExampleSet. Then I write the new ExampleSet with Write CSV operator. Unfortunately, the row ID are written as Floats (e.g. 1.0, 2.0, 3.0...) rather than Integers.
Is there a work around?

Hi!
I think it is a very bad "feature" of RapidMiner. You can try to set the 'rapidminer.general.fractiondigits.numbers' parameter at Tools menu -> Preferences -> General tab. But if you do this, all your numbers would have only the set fractiondigits.numbers, even if you want more fractiondigits.
So I suggest you to convert the type of the ID to nominal before the Write CSV operator. Do not forget to check the 'include special atttributes' parameter at Numerical to Polynominal operator.
Good luck!
