Feko as a radar simulator and comparison with NVIDIA's Sionna
Hello,
I have been exploring Feko's many solvers for my research in radar propagation in forest environments. I am planning on modeling a forest using copies of 3D tree models and assigning those models with material properties like permittivity. I am aiming to simulate L-band frequencies. So far I have been able to load in a tree model and run the UTD solver with it in the environment. I was wondering if anyone has used Feko as a radar simulator and what their experience was.
I am also looking into a new RF propagation simulator called Sionna developed by NVIDIA (link). I am wondering if anyone has used this simulator before and would know how it compares to Feko's UTD or RL-GO solvers.
Best,
Luke

Dear Luke,
I think Altair WinProp might be the simulation tool you are looking for.
You need to visit the following page to get some idea on how to use WinProp (which is similar to Sionna).

From the following picture, you can plan on how to construct your simulation environment with the trees out of the many WinProp objects in the page.
Best regards,
Jaehoon

Thanks Jaehoon, I will be sure to check out WinProp.
