Rapid Miner version 5.3.8 doesn't start from exe file [SOLVED]

Rapid Miner version 5.3.8 doesn't start from exe file but does start from java -jar rapidminer.jar
Was working great yesterday and then I tried to install the R extension.
Couldn't get it to work so I deactivated it and went home.
Today tried to start Rapidminer and nothing happens.

I have since uninstalled the R extension when I able to start the application from the jar file.

But still doesn't start from the exe.

I tried removing the .Rapidminer5 folder and the latest version file alone and still doesn't start.
Any Ideas?

It looks like the file extensions.xml permissions were changed somehow.
Was getting this message during the command line JAR start:
a.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Program Files\Rapid-I\RapidMiner5\lib\plugins\managed\extensions.xml (Access is denied)

I gave myself full control permissions and now it starts.
