Dear experts,

I want to solve truss structures in 2D:

and in 3D:

However, I can't find any help in order to reproduce these types of problems. The idea is to create keypoints and lines, and then mesh them with bar elements. Is there any way to do this in Simlab?

Thanks in advance!

Hello, I would try following procedure.

    - Create Nodes with Mesh/Nodes/Create

    - Join the nodes with a wire body using Geometry/Edge Create/ Nodes

    - You can merge the wire bodies into one if needed

    - Create a property for the wire body.

If this doesn't work propely, you can use CONNECTORS/R to reate the 1D elements, instead of creating a wire body. THis should also work, and it is probably the most robust way
