Hi,

In Topology optimization i want reduce the weight of the casting component and also to meet the required frequency criteria.

In my case iam focusing 3rd mode and 5th mode frequency,

How to use weighted frequency response and please explain what is mode and weight.

Check the snap shot.

Thanks.

Please take a look at the documentation of OptiStruct for the Weighted Frequency.

This response combines many different modes (eigenvalues/frequencies) into a single response, adding some weighting factor for each mode/frequency. You can use this as an objective to increase your frequencies in general (max WFREQ).

If you have specific targets for these modes, you might want to try to create design constraints on order to achieve the desired targets, if they're feasible.

Also i would enable 'mode tracking' as the vibration modes might change from iteration to iteration, specially in topology.

Read more about it in the documentation too.

    Hi Adriano koga,

    Thanks for your reply.

Can you please provide any examples or Tutorials.

    Thanks.
