is this programme right for me?

Hi there,

I've just installed this programme on my Mac, it works, but I don't know what to do with it

I am not an IT person, I am a linguist.

I have several URLs that I want to crawl, get all 'text' on them, create word lists, frequency lists.

I also want to be able to see from what page a word comes from.

Can I do any of this with this programme? If not, could you recommend me anything else?

Hey,

first of all you need the "Web Mining" extension for crawling the web. To process text there is also a "Text Processing" extension. You can install this extensions by clicking "Help -> Update RapidMiner".

For mining text you can read or watch tutorials on youtube e.g.
