I have been trying to define contact between two cylinders on their flat faces.

What is the remedy for this error

Increase the SRCHDIS value in CONTACT card. (if not entered earlier, default will be twice the average edge length on the master surface)
In contact interation there are two compoennts. Tangential and normal. I think this is the problem in your case
Check the contact modelling for cotact group ID 3.
@ Rahul - my elements have very small gap. They are like almost touching each other.
@Prakash - I am unable to find the components you are talking about. Can you help a bit on that?

From the error message I can see the issue is with contact group ID 3. Try to recreate contact interface for the same.

My mesh on one cyilinder's face is matching with other. Is that causing the problem?
