Generating altair_lic.dat file for Altair Embed 2019.2 edition

I have installed Embed 2019.2 version so that it can work with an older system I have. How do I generate the altair_lic.dat file for the student edition of the tool? The latest instruction on the student edition page does not reflect what I see when I click on almutil_gui.exe file of the 2019 edition.

The snapshot from the 2019 almutil application does not have the "Activation" tab as stated:

It was made known to me that previously, you are required to key in the "Ethernet Host ID" which results in the license file being sent to your email account. This functionality have been removed from Altair's website and now I am unable to activate my 2019 edition of the tool. Please advice on how to proceed. Thank you.

Hi Terrence,

Rather than trying to activate a license from an older version of the software, you may be eligible to download Embed Personal. Embed Personal has a 180-day license and it is our latest version of the software so you will have all the features and capabilities of Embed. Here is the URL to get you started with the download process:

After you fill out the form, you will get an email with the download instructions. It may take several days to get the email.
