Time step error

Hi,

I am facing the following issues with Radioss run - Quasi Static analysis.

1) Without /DT/INTER/DEL in Engine file , the run has been stopped due to min time step error.

2) With /DT/INTER/DEL in Engine file the mass scaling DM/M is increasing gradually till 30% from 3.2%

Let me know for comments to avoid this error

The issue seems to be in interface 1 only , Kindly check penetrations if any . what is the type of contact , parameters used and also if any image can be shared for more idea of the model

Hi,

The interface is creating issue in your case. I presume there are penetrations in your interface, check and correct the same. You can try also with a small Gapmin value.

With /DT/INTER/DEL check in HyperView how the simulation works, and also what causes for time step drop. Remove/DT/NODA for this case and run.
