Plotting the angle of torsion of a monocoque

Hello,

I've simulated a Formula-Student Monocoque using Optistruct. I wanted to get an idea of the general stiffness of the desing, so i did not create a laminate yet, but used a 5mm steel sheet to simplify the first model.

How can i display the "twist"angle of the chassis over the x-axis?

I assume you know theoretically how to measure twist angle, i.e. which points/nodes to measure.

In Hyperview you can measure the angle using 3 nodes.

 

Technically you can also define a local system in HyperMesh for OptiStruct which will make things easier to understand for post processing
