How to import thermal device xml files to PSIM

This article shows how to import thermal device xml files to PSIM.

For example, you can import the thermal device xml files that are converted from PLECS.

Open the Set Path dialog from Options -> Set Path...

Click Add Add Folder...

Select the folder that contains the PSIM thermal xml files.

Click Save.

Please close PSIM and re-launch PSIM in order to activate the selected folder.

After that, you can use the imported thermal xml files in PSIM.

For example, open the schematic "buck - main.psimsch" from dc-dc example.

Select the MOSFET and change the model level from Level 1 to Thermal (MOSFET (Eon)).

Click ... in Device.

You can select the thermal device that you added.

Check the connection and add the environment temperature using constant block.

Run the PSIM simulation!
