Monitored volume for vacuum tank

Hi,

I am working on a vacuum tank and want to understand the behaviour of tank in case of pressure increase and pressure decrease independently.I have a linear curve for pressure rise and decrease with time.

For the same I am making a monitored control volume with card image as Pressure Load curve to input the pressure curve in it.

Is this the right way to simulate such case or we need to use pressure load boundary condition for it?

Also actual testing requires ramp time of around 2 min. but with explicit technique this is not feasible so do I need to switch to optistruct for the same.

I will recommend you to use pressure load boundary condition for this analysis and try running in implicit computation.

Thank you for the update.
Yes I am going for this option as the monitored volume requires certain experimental data. Like to model a tank we can go for wither pressure load curve monitored volume or perfect gas monitored volume.

For pressure load curve , the curve is between pressure to relative volume and thus for this an experimental data is required for accuracy and also some data is required for perfect gas modelling also.

I will update you soon after initial results.
