Dear All,

For my problem i want to create one inlet and two outlets in series

For example: I want to calculate the flow in a pipe of 1m in that inlet is 5 bar and the outlet is ambient but i want to control the pressure in the middle of the pipe at .5m say 4 bar ( i,e 1 bar pressure drop)

How to set the boundary conditions for this problem ?

kindly provide your guidelines

Thanks

Ram

I am not sure if I understand the situation. What is meant by outlet in series?  Is it like an interface surface between two fluid volumes? If yes you could probably do that with Element BC.

A snapshot might be helpful to understand your setup.

How to define interface with Element BC?

Element BC are visible under Advanced Options  in AcuConsole. They can be defined there.

In AcuConsole there are various options for BCs. The easiest to use are Simple Boundary Conditions that are exposed with the BAS profile. Other options under Advanced  are Element BC, Nodal BC and Integrated BC.

Can you show a screenshot of the geometry and the intended BCs, in order to help you define the appropriate BCs.

    Dear Sir,

I have attached the picture of my model and boundary condition.

I have created the domain aft of the valve

i have given stag pressure 4 bar at inlet

3 bar at Outlet 1 ( outlet of the valve)

atm pressure at outlet 2 ( outlet of the domain)

Do you know the mass flux in the system? I am doubtful about applying three pressure BCs in this setup. There is a way to do it,
