1. The user is currently loading a Fatigue Life Results that has contour only to certain elements in the entire model.
2. He needed a automated way using which he can group bunch of elements with results into one set skip the adjacent no result elements, look for next set of elements that have results place them into a new set and so on.
3. He needs these sets for Ncode Fatigue Calculation Current Process to Do this:
1) Turn off all elements with N/A to prevent them from being selected using Mask -->> Contour No results
2) Create a new set and set the selection mode to “displayed”
3) Select the top element by contour value (“TopN”) with 1 element.
4) Add “Attached” to the set – this should select the patch of elements.
5) Mask the elements in the set created in step 4.
6) Repeat steps 3-5 until no elements are visible. For his current model there were lot of such patches which would result in him manually creating at least 20 -30 sets
Usage/Installation Instructions
1. Provided a macro which would completely automate this process.
2. User applies the required Contour and just runs this utility which would create all the necessary sets.
3. This can script can also be modified to entirely run in batch mode.
