Automatic Spider Creator

Overview

Search all 3D elements in the component specified for any holes and will create a spider with all dependent nodes on the interior face of the hole and automatically calculate the independent node. For 2D elements in the component specified, the script will create a spider with dependent nodes on the hole edge and any immediately adjacent nodes (washer nodes). The independent node will be automatically calculated.

Usage/Installation Instructions

1. Run the *.tcl script in HyperMesh.

2. Select the components which you wish to search for holes and have 1D spiders automatically created.
