*Database Cross Section Manager for HM

Overview

To create a *Data Base Cross Section card in HyperMesh

Usage/Installation Instructions

Usage

1. User picks a Node where he needs to cut a Section
2. Picks the Elements through which the section would be created
3. Checks the box for either Solid or Shell elements
4. Specify the Standard X,Y, Z plane or use N1,N2 and N3 options
5. Use either Global system and if not selected it will let the user create a local system
6. On creation it creates a Group called *Databse_Cross_Section_plane
7. The macro cuts a section and grabs all the nodes in the section and places them in a Node set
8. The macro grabs the elements in that plane and places them in a Element set
9. It will take the user to the systems panel to create a system if Global option is unchecked The Element Sets, Node Sets and group is created automatically based on the above selection and assigned to the specific fields in the Group based on the Element type and system selected.

 

Limitation

Currently this can create only *database_cross_section_set and needs to be extended to section_plane
