Legend isn't showing up
Hello,
i am using HyperView 2019.1. When i try to visualise the displacements in my simulation via 'Contour -> Result type: Displacement -> Apply' i can't see the corresponding legend. The same problem applies when visualising the stress or strain.
In preceding versions of HyperView this was not a problem. So i hope someone can help me 'turn on' the legend.
Thanks!

Hi Felix,
Click on the Display Control icon as shown below:
Then, click on Legend(s) as shown below:
This will turn on/off the legend.

Hi Koushik,
sadly that didn't work, as you can see from the picture attached.

I have same issue with all our machines in company that does not have dedicated graphic cards. Seems Generic graphic cards are not supported somehow anymore.
Interestingly If you take screenshot using screenshot buttons -> it will actually show legend with colors and numbers. It just does not display on the screen when interacting with model.

Gavin,
Please make sure your machine has a dedicated graphics card (not the integrated) and Hyperview is using it.
As mentioned in documentation
In order to ensure best performance, these options should be set to use discrete NVIDIA or AMD GPU and not the Intel GPU.
Thanks

May you put screen shot here how to select NVIDIA and AMD GPU?

Gavin,
This is done through the GPU control (not hyperview).
Please refer to this article as well which mentions all this

I have done exactly as you to add high-performance NVIDIA processor to three Altair applications.
However, it didn't solve the legend issue.

Can you verify HV is indeed using the GPU?
Do you see any messages about unsupported graphics?

Gavin,
Yes this shows that your machine is using the integrated/generic card for Hyperview, NOT the dedicated/direct gpu.
I would work with your IT dept as this has to do with your companies machines settings and not Hyperview itself.
