Overview

The Fastener Tool allows the user to create the joint stiffness using Huth Formula (in single shear) and map it back as property to the 1D elements (CBUSH or CFAST) idealizing such connections. The tool allows the user to define (and eventually further modify) the type of fastener (norm) he needs. The tool allows the user to generate for each fastener an spare coordinate system showing the directions of the stiffness terms. The tool provides the user log file to screen the validity of the selected connections.

Usage/Installation Instructions

Unzip the package and run the "start_fastenerTool.tcb" file. Help is included in the package (dedicated button to display pdf).

 

Limitation

The tool works with NASTRAN and OS profile only. It works with: - CBUSH - CBUSH + RBE3 (sealing connection) - CFAST (GA-GB, both type ELEM and type PROP) The tool doesn't work with PCOMPP (ply based model)
