Overview

The script is created to check if the given nodes lie at given x, y, z location. If not, nodes will be moved to that location. Also, based on given element type ('RBE2', 'RBE3', 'RBE2-RBE3') and node sets, elements are created in the model.

Usage/Installation Instructions

  1. An input is expected in the from of a excel sheet, similar to one that is attached.
  2. Run the script from File->Run->Tcl/tk script.
  3. A file selection dialogue will pop-up. Select the excel sheet.
  4. Script will check and correct the nodes for given node locations, and create elements for given types and nodesets.
  5. Once this is done, user is prompted to select the folder to export updated file. If include file are present in the model, includes are preserved while exporting.

Limitation

Scirpt is meant to run only on Windows platform only. Script will work only in Nastran or Optistruct user profiles. To use it in other profiles, it might need little tweaking.
