Hello

I am trying to perform tribo-charging of 1 spherical particle with a diameter of 1 mm and alpha = -0.5. The particle has an initial charge of 0, and the work functions of the particle and material are 4.9 and 5.2, respectively.

When I estimate the charge that can be developed on the particle using an equation from the literature (see image) I get the value of -10.446e7 where as EDEM gives me a value of -4.28e-7

Please tell me why is this happening

I am using these equations to estimate the charge the N value is 1 as i am only using one sphere

Hello, can someone please tell me how the calculation process works for the built-in model of tribocharging in Altair?

Hey can someone please tell me Why the equation results do not match the one being generated by Altair.

I am doing exactly as given in the paper from Altair Bibliography

the charge developed at first contact is not equal for the equation given in the reference article and altair. Please tell me what is the disconnect why are they not equal

Hey, what's the big idea? You guys from Altair have given these papers in your documentation, and I am asking why your model is not giving the same thing as the equation given in the paper. can someone please tell me what is going on in this. why is there a disconnect? I want this to work before venturing into writing any API. Please let me know.

Hey, can anyone please address this issue? this is very sad that you are not explaining that feature introduced in your software itself
