Hello all,

I am trying to map CFD absolute pressure loads exported from STARCCM+ onto a mesh (Nastran BDF format) in HyperWorks. For this, I am using the 'Fields' option and importing a loads file (loads.txt) which contains X, Y, and Z coordinates along with the pressure value at that location. I tried all the interpolation options available for realizing the field however, I am not getting the right pressure distribution on the surface.

Can you please help me understand the correct way to do this mapping of pressure loads in HyperWorks.

I am sharing the Nastran BDF file (aircraft_mesh_coarse2.bdf) on which the loads (loads.txt) need to be mapped. Also sharing an image from STARCCM+ to verify how the pressure distribution is supposed to look like.

    Hello Swapnil.

I used the fields utility based to create the PLOAD4 loads in your model using proximity . The pressure distribution is as follows :

I observed that the pressure loads have applied on x,y,z direction

Can you elaborate more on your expected pressure distribution results you got from STAR CCM+ . What is the calculation method to report the Absolute Pressure at each element ? image
