    Hello!

In some instances, creating PolyNURBs after converting an Optimized shape may pose challenges, especially when dealing with complex optimized results or when portions of the resultant piece are scattered around.

Make sure the optimization outcome is the best possible by using one or more of these approaches:

    1. Slightly decreasing the thickness constraint value, as detailed here.
    2. Adding Shape Controls, explained here.
    3. Using a different optimization objective, outlined here.

Implementing Shape Controls can positively impact the optimization outcome, ensuring a shape that is easier to manufacture.

Now, let's discuss the two main ways to convert an optimization result into a PolyNURBs:

    1. By clicking "Fit PolyNURBs" button while reviewing the optimization results.
      • Enable the "Smooth results" option and consider additional adjustments like editing faces, defining curvature percentages, or intersecting PolyNURBs. More details here.
      • Click "Fit PolyNURBs".
    2. By manually creating your own PolyNURBs.
      • Utilize the PolyNURBs ribbon to access tools for manually creating shapes based on optimized results. Refer to this video for a step-by-step guide.

By following these recommendations, you can enhance your Inspire Optimization journey. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further assistance.

    Best,

    Hello,

Also, if you using the optimized shape, may or may not be created within Inspire, then for such issues, first you can try using the smooth option polymesh ribbon and then check the fit option.
    Or
Do shrinkwrap fit after using smooth option as it create a voxel mesh throughout the part (mesh size can be manipulated) and merge all the disconnected bodies. And then you can use fit option using the voxel mesh part.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Saurabh
