hello everyone!

I have to install the hypermesh on my MacBook to finish the homework while I cannot find the link to download the HyperWorks® 14.0 Student Edition for Mac OS . The link in the verification link in the email is for the Win.

Does anybody know how to download and stall this on a MacBook and whether the license for student edition fits the MacBook?

    Hi

The MAC version of the student edition is only available for Inspire studio, Inspire render, and Thea products.

If MAC is the only available machine, we suggest you install windows in parallel using boot camp and use the windows version of the software. Apple support has all the details on this, https://www.apple.com/in/support/bootcamp/

When you run it in windows you may need a new license file for the windows ID.

If you're on an Apple Silicon MacBook, unfortunately you're out of luck. m1/m2 MacBooks can only run the ARM version of Windows 11 under Parallels, and my experience has been dire with this setup and the HyperWorks suite.

In this scenario, if you have access to a PC running Windows and with compatible graphics hardware, I would strongly advise installing the software on it.

Indeed. However, lots of people (particularly students) don't actually have access to the very specific hardware Altair products require, and this is getting kind of frustrating for some of us, given the fact that we don't have any issues running AutoDesk or ANSYS products on the same hardware.
