The initial temperature of the winding and magnets for an EV motor

Hi,

 

I want to do a thermal electromagnetic test of an electric motor of an electric vehicle under Flux Motor. 

Please, what are the initial temperatures of the magnets and winding to be defined for the Flux Motor tests?

And how do you calculate mechanical loss inputs for an EV motor?

Good morning,

Regarding the initial temperatures during a duty cycle in the efficiency map test, the temperatures are your choice, the values in your pictuere are consistent (~150 degrees for the coils and 20 degrees for the magnets initially) . In all cases, these values will change with the different operating points during the duty cycle.

 

For the mechanical losses, a simple model makes it possible to define the losses according to the speed. The formula is given in the documentation. We only have to give a reference value and the rest will be done according to this one.
