Modelling of compression test for honeycomb

Hello everyone,

I am trying to set up a simulation for a compression test of honeycomb. Is there any previous work or tutorial I can use as reference?

Below is a picture of what I want to simulate.

    Hi 

    for the test setup, you may look into some Standards to verify the specimen dimensions and requirements on the testing boundary conditions and then apply them to the simulation model.

     

    if the question is related to how to model the honeycomb part,

    you may do it either with shell mesh that would capture the geometry of the combs,

    or alternatively you may attempt doing with solid mesh,
