Problem with license key

Hello, I was trying to activate Hyperworks using the student license assosiated with my college email on Altair Connectme, unfortunately the licence provided to me won't work anymore, it turns out I installed the software I needed (PSIM) a couple of weeks ago on my MacBook M1 and the activation did work that time, unfortunately I was forced to change my computer because the software is not working properly on Mac, I retraced the steps I did for the first installation but the student license I got won't work anymore, I get the following error message:

 

"Error activating License: This license was already activated using a different HostIDs."

 

Despite the fact  my license expires in July 2024 how can I solve this problem?

    Hi,

    This error occurs when the license is activated on another computer. The student license only works on one computer. If you want to use the license on a different computer, you must deactivate it from the previous one. 

    To deactivate your license from your previous computer, please follow these steps: 

    1. Navigate to System (C:) > Program Files > Altair > 2023 > security > bin > win64 > gui.
    2. Locate and double-click on almutil_gui.exe to open the Altair License Utility. 
    3. go to Tools > Deactivate License in the Altair License Utility. 
    4. Enter the activation key in the provided box and click on 'Deactivate.' (Refer to the image below) 
    5. Once you have successfully deactivated the license on your computer, you can now activate the license on your other computer using the same activation key.

    NOTE: Please note that there are a limited number of chances to deactivate and reactivate a license. Therefore, it's advisable to avoid deactivating it several times.
