Open edges remains after stitching a surface?
Hello, I have imported some graphics to MotionView, which were created in HyperMesh with a rigid body mesh. These graphics are used in some contacts but there are open edges so I tried to stitch those surfaces in order to end up with a close volume, but it didn't have any result. Does anybody know why this is happening?

Hi Spyros,
Stitching in HyperMesh may not be applied if the "maximum stitching distance" is set too large. I would check to make sure the value is not smaller than the gaps you need to repair and the stitching is actually being applied.
To simplify gear systems, MotionView 2023 now features the Machinery Tools Extension which helps create helical and planetary gearsets entities. In addition, it gives access to ball bearing, roller bearing, and journal bearing entities to streamline many machine systems. If possible, I would recommend updating from 2021.0 to 2023 to take advantage of these, and many other, new features.
Hope this helps!
