How do I get elemental strain energy output for all elements (2D and 3D as well)?

Hi. My FEM file (optistruct) has 2D and 3D elements. I want the elemental strain energy stored by all the elements and by each component as well. I did ticked the ESE output request box but I am not getting any ESE output in hyperview. May I know how to get ESE output?

    Hi

I think you are doing correctly.

Asking for ESE would output the strain energy.

    Attached an example.

    I hope this is Helpful

Hi Rogerio Nakano. Thanks for your reply. We are able to get ESE for static load cases, no problem there. But our simulation is of generic type.

If we select post = -1, as in the below screenshot, in the PARAM card, then we are getting an OP2 file with ESE value.

But OP2 file is generated only if the simulation is complete. As these simulations are long, we generally kill them before completion. Then no OP2 file is generated.

Is there any way so that OP2 file will be generated with ESE values output even without running the simulation to completion?
