Hello,

i am using a student edition of flux software for my masters project. following an example in induction heating in 2D the number of nodes is exceeding the limits. how can i limit the elements to observe the post-processing.

thank you

    Hi,

To limite the number of nodes you need to create your own mesh. For exampel you can create a point discritisation or line disctrtiztion and assign it to the points and lines. Depending on the mesh information you can have a number of nodes. Other thing if you use the automatic mesh, you can change the infomation of the mesh. To do it :

    • Mesh >> aided mesh >> edit

    • Change the mesh information

    Best regards.

thank you Abdessamed. i have applied the line discretization. for thermal analysis how do we apply the skin effect mesh, or is it not required if we are using coupled analysis of thermal with magnetic or electric application.

    Thank you

    Hi,

If you want to take into account of the skin depth you need:

    • Define the skin depth thickness

    • Define a mesh generator type layer. To do it:

      • Mesh >> Select mesh generator >> new >> mesh generator type: select layers >> give all the information of the height layer

      • Once the mesh generator is defined >> select the volume on which you need to take into account of the skin depth and assign the mesh generator

    Best regards.
