I want to pick the average pressure on specified cross-section of an analyzed fluid model as shown below in Inspire Fluid, but I cannot find how to do this. The version I am using is 2023.1. There might be some option to do this in version 2024, but I would appreciate it if somebody could tell me how to do this with version 2023.1.

Thank you for your information, but I cannot find the way to check the average pressure and flow rate on the surface I set as surface monitor. Could you please tell me how to see it?

    Hi KF,

I found a better method which uses the Integration Sections method to review the average velocity and pressure through a certain area. Please review the image with steps below on how to enable these sections:

Link to the Integration Sections help page: https://help.altair.com/inspire/en_us/topics/cfd/show_cfd_analysis_results_t.htm?hl=integration,section

    Hope this helps!

    Hi KF,

From the Run Fluids Analysis dialog box, you can add surfaces to monitor, which will display the average pressure and flow rate. This is available in both 2024.0 (shown) and 2023.1 (verified).

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Adam Reid,

Thank you for your help, but I think the integration section can be used in version 2024. I could not find the integration section icon in version 2023.

Does anyone know how to measure the average pressure and velocity on specified section in ver. 2023?

    Hi KF,

Is it possible for you to update to the most recent release (version 2024.1) to take advantage of these newer features?

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Adam Reid,

Yes, but I am worried about losing the analysis data I got in 2023 when updating to 2024. Is it possible to carry the analysis data over in 2024?

    Thank you,

    Hi KF,

Yes, if results are saved in the STMOD it will open in a newer version such as 2024.1

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Adam Reid,

Thank you for the information! I exported the analysis data in STMOD format, install ver. 2024 and could open it.

I could see the average pressure/velocity by the integration section method you taught me before.

    Thank you very much!
