Analysis of Topology Optimization Results

Hello,

I am doing a series of topology optimizations of the same part with different parameter sets. Now I would like to analyze the results. Interesting for me is the volume of the part as shown in ISO plot at a certain density threshold and the distribution of the densities of all shown elements from contour plot. Is this possible? How?

Hawk,

This is easily done using OSMOOTH,

Just go to Post > ossmooth in HyperMesh, then just select the .fem and the .sh files, and choose the FEA reanalysis option.

You can enter the density threshold here just like iso surface,

this will then create a reanalysis model, which will have the volume mesh for that density

Then go to tool > mass calc and calculate the volume of the model
