Dear Experts,
In UWB case (3.1GHz -10.6GHz) for covering such a broad spectrum,
1. How many modes could be requested? ( if 3 modes are requested then what should be sorting frequency).
2. How many frequency samples can be requested for freq of 3Ghz and 10.6Ghz, such that there is no mode tracking error?
3. Finally, How to perform excitation with the knowledge three modes alone to cover the entire band with 7.5GHz?

Hi Sumithra,
I would consider the following approach:- Split the band into two simulations with the first ending at 5.6GHz.
- Use a similar amount of frequency samples for both simulations, thus giving the lower band finer sampling.
- Request around 10 modes for the lower band and around 20 for the higher band.
- Review mode tracking and total captured power and adjust simulations as needed to remedy any problems.
To answer some of your other questions:
- Any MoM supported excitation can be used with CMA.
- 3 modes are likely insufficient. You can verify the total amount of power captured by your requested modes in the *.out file.
- Modes are sorted according the lowest frequency of the simulation.
All the best.
