Radioss INIVEL_Collector not there

Hi,

I am working on a crash simulation between a pole and a beam in Radioss. However, when I am trying to set an initial velocity for one of the two parts in the Load Collectors section, INIVEL_Collector is not an option in the card images. The only 2 options are: SPH_INLET_OUTLET_Collector and ACTIV_Collector. Also, I tried using the search tool to find the INIVEL_Collector from there, but still when found, I can't set a velocity since the only card images are again SPH_INLET_OUTLET_Collector and ACTIV_Collector. Please note that I am using HyperWorks Desktop 2020.1 Student Edition and I've tried all the solutions that are suggested on this forum but nothing works. How can I use INIVEL_Collector and set my velocity?

Thank you.

You need to enable the 'Solver Browser' and create these and other analysis cards using it.

There you will find it and you will be able to edit your initial velocity.

Hi Adriano, thanks for your reply, however I am not using this version of HyperWorks, I am using the HyperWorks Desktop (seems like it's the older version which is blue, not the red new one), and even though what you are describing is there, I can't set the velocity anywhere (there is no prompt for the velocity) as the only cards available are SPH_INLET_OUTLET_Collector and ACTIV_Collector. I have read that other people that are using the same version of HyperWorks as I do have the same issue. Could you please help?

    Hi,
could you plesae share a screenshot of what you have?

Also, I don't know if it will be available in the student version, but you can try to you "ctrl + F" to look for /INIVEL.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Mathis.

Hi, I've already tried that, and even though there is the option to select INIVEL, I can't select the card for it in order to input my velocity. The screenshot below shows what I am seeing. Any recommendations?

    Hi

In the 2020 version of HyperMesh the loads creation process was moved to the Solver Browser panel You can access it thru 'View>Solver Browser'. It will open on new Tab

Within this tab you can RMB and select 'Create > BOUNDARY CONDITIONS > INIVEL'.

    and set the /INIVEL.

    Hope this is helpful

    Regards

    Hi,

Hi folks. Rogerio has described it.

You need to open 'Solver Browser' to access these functions, as I mentioned before.

Solver browser is not exclusive for the new interface. Even in HyperWorks Desktop it is still there.

    Go to View>>Browsers>>HM>>Solver
