Which methods /algorithm used in topology in optistruct (direct search method or gradient based method or Franke wolf method) Where can i find theory related to it in optistruct help/documentation. How convergence for design objective is decided (is kuhn tucker condition used)

OptiStruct uses a gradient-based method.  You can see more information about the optimization process here:

The different optimization algorithms used (like MFD,SQP,DUAL) have different convergence methods but are well-known in structural optimization.  There are some papers referenced on this page as well on the optimization algorithms.
