When we using model reduction methods for FE model when creating flexible body
Can we see that how much DOF it is decreased in hypermesh ?

Hi @LOKESH KATARI Can you please explain what do you mean by DOF decreased?
Also, please use appropriate forum threads to post your questions so that it will be addressed soon.0 -
ok sir from next time i will use appropriate forum
DOF decreased means when we use the model reduction methods it will reduce the degrees of freedom from high to finite.
For example chassis , whole vehicle

like can we see for a model how much it is reduced?

DOFs are depended on element numbers/types.
quad shell first order has 4 points and 6 dofs on every point=24 DOFs.
If you create full vehicle model which contains 100.000 points (only shell elements and beams) you will have 6*100.000 DOFs
if you separete chassis from full model and it will include only 50.000 points you can estimate your reduction coefficient=)

Thank you so much Mrt
one more doubt do we have any control card for model reduction in Optistruct

i think so if @Prakash Pagadala say that it wasn't possible you can't do it.

Usually, total degrees of freedom will be written in the .out file. You can use remove the constrain dofs from the total... I guess this will help?
