How does Nastran calculate strain in CQUAD4 elements?

Hello everybody,

I have one simple and maybe silly question. But I cannot get to understand the strain results coming from Nastran.

I have searched the web to understand how strains are calculated in the software but I have not found anything.

Given that I am using a linear solution and an isotrope material, I thought about calculating the strain with the Hooke's law. I selected a random element, and In-Plane P1 (major) result.

I had Stress = 21.71 [MPa] and E = 68258 [MPa] ---> Strain = Stress / E ---> Strain = 3.18e-04 = 0.0318%

Nevertheless, Nastran shows me a value of Strain = 2.39e-04 = 0.0239%

Do you know where this difference may come from ?

Thanks in advance !
