License for student doesnt wok

Hi,

I installed Edem as per instructions given in the mail. and also followed the activation mail for license.

When I am trying to run Edem, a dialogue box appears and says License error 1: unable to check out 21000 EDEMGUI license.

Please let e know the solution.

    Hi

    It looks like EDEM is looking for the license file on your system but the environment variable is probably not set to find the license.

    1. To do this open your start menu and type "environment variable".
    2. Then in the menu that pops up select "environment variables".
    3. Under "System Variables", click "New" and create variable

    Variable name: Altair_license_path 

    Value: C:\Program Files\Altair\2021\security\altair_lic.dat

     

    This should solve your issue and get EDEM running for you.
