Can EDEM export global positions of each sphere in the muti-sphere particles?

Hi,

I got a packing with random particles with muti-sphere, but I want to get the global positions of each sphere, can EDEM export directly?

    Hi Raheem

    You cannot get this information directly from EDEM.

    One way to do would be to export the location of the multisphere particles, and their orientations also. Based on this information and your initial particle definition, you would be able to calculate where the spheres are.

    As Jerrin said, you can't get that information directly from EDEM. However, it is still possible to do it using EDEMpy. I've attached a script that does exactly that. If you have any questions, please let me know.
