After installation, I cannot run the PSIM program

After installing I can't run the PSIM program, does anyone have a suggestion? I use windows 7

What phenomenon did you see on your computer?

What error message did you get?

Which older PSIM version did you have on your computer?

What type of PSIM license do you have?

Is your Windows 7 version 32bit or 64bit?

Hello, thank you for your interest in helping me.

Nothing happens after I run the .exe, even as an administrator. No error message appears, I even tried to run it with the anti virus disabled, nothing happens.

Version 2021.1 I can run normally, but the license that was made available to me is from Altair, so I had to download version 2022.3. Also, I tried uninstalling all versions of PSIM from my computer, to no avail after.

My Windows 7 is 64 bit.

Do you have a license for PSIM2021 not from Altair?

And you installed PSIM2022.3 with a different license which is given by Altair?

When you download PSIM2022.3 from Altair's MarketPlace, did you also download the installation guide?

I have exactly the same issue here.

I am trying to run PSIM 2022.3 in a computer with Windows 10.

Processor: Intel Core i3-2350M

RAM: 4 GB.

I managed to find a solution, please confirm if it works for you.

1. Go to your PSIM folder (for me, C:\Altair\Altair PSIM 2022.3)
2. Backup psim_lic.dat or rename it to psim_lic.dat.old
3. Copy your provided licence file and paste in the PSIM folder
4. Rename it to psim_lic.dat
5. Run PSIM

Hi Rhonda,

I have a PSIM student license.

I had a 2021b version running, but I don't have the license anymore, so I uninstalled it.

I was able to solve the issue with PSIM 2022.3 by uninstalling it and deleting the remaining folder in my PC. Then I re-installed it and was able to add my license file again and now it works.

I tried the steps you mentioned, but I could not get it working.

I was able to solve the issue by uninstalling PSIM it and deleting the remaining folder in my PC (C:\Altair\Altair PSIM 2022.3). Then I re-installed it and was able to add my license file again and now it works.
