why the s-frame section properties tool does not import the steel properties
Am new to S-frame,
currently using the academic version to follow up with my studies.
I am following the training videos, when it came to use the beam material, I followed up all the steps but found out that after adding the steel from the library, it doesn't upload the mechanical proprieties. as shown in the picture, it gets me random numbers that doesn't have anything to do with the actual proprieties. is it because I am using the academic version that a restriction is made on the software, or am I missing something.
Thanks

Hello Thamer,
Thank you for reaching out through the Altair Community forums. My name is Andrés, and I work at Altair's Technical Support. It'll be our pleasure to assist.
We are very glad to read that you are taking the introduction to S-FRAME training, and we hope that you find it useful. We are sure you will become proficient with the software in a short period of time.
We appreciate you attaching that screenshot. We noticed that the values for the section properties are not entirely different from what we should see, and also, we noticed some commas. May we ask, does your computer have French language keyboard settings?
The default for French (Canada) language keyboards is to use a comma as a separator (decimal symbol). This has been known to cause problems in S-FRAME. To get around this, you may want to adjust your Language and Region settings in the Control Panel :
Open the Control Panel >Region and Language> Change the date, time, or number format > Additional Settings
Within the “Customize Format” window that pops up when you click “Additional Settings” you should notice a ‘Decimal symbol’ field. This symbol should be set to a period ‘.’ Also, there is a ‘Digit grouping symbol’ field, this symbol should be set to a comma ‘,’.
We hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if you have any additional questions in this regard.
Kind regards,
Andrés Chávez Burgos
