animation results not in a sequence
Hi,
My model is run till 1 sec and at animation file write interval of 1 millisecond. The animation file displays 9.99E+002 and 1E+003 at the beginning and then starts with 2, 3, 4..... milli seconds. I really cannot figure why it shows the two states which are supposed to be at final. Could anyone give a hint, what might be the reason? checked with the engine file, to my knowledge everything seems fine.

Hi Ushay,
Please share the engine file.
Also let us know how many animation files has been created for this simulation.

Hi George, has sent animation file and engine file through dropbox

Hi,
Engine file seems fine, please share me the complete engine out file. No model info will be available from engine out file, so please share the complete engine out file.
As a check, remove the /DT/NODA/CST from engine file, run the analysis and please update.

Hi George,
Thanks for verifying. Unfortunately I can't have access to those files out of office, sorry for that. I had a look at engine out file. In short, animation file of 001. 002 states are repeated after the end state.. Looks like

ANIMATION FILE: tensile_testA002 WRITTEN
ANIMATION FILE: tensile_testA003 WRITTEN
ANIMATION FILE: tensile_testA004 WRITTEN....
....

Hi Ushay,
Instead of writing more than 999 animation files can you try with less number of animation files, ie for /ANIM/DT card try with a higher value of Tfreq.

Ok George, will try and let you know if that's resulting to the similar thing.

Hi George, checked with reducing the animation file writing frequency and it writes properly.
Also, as you can see in the animation file, the fabric behavior is completely unreasonable as the elements have some distortion like a plastic part. Could you please suggest which parameter might be causing to behave in that way? I use law 58 for material and property 16.

Hi,
It is difficult to point out to a single parameter in the material card.If you have chosen the function input then please recheck the stress-strain curve defined in the model, else check the parameters inputs. Can you try running with the example values for this material card from the Help menu and check the behavior of the material.

hi George, My version of Radioss does not support curve, so all inputs are in terms of parameters. Yeah I tried with the example as well, but there was no improvement

Hi,
Is it possible to share the model file so that we can review.
Also, check the loading in the model. I think its an imposed load in the model. If so, ramp up the load gradually and try running.

I am sorry George,
I do not have Privilege to share the model. I have applied imposed velocity on the model. Is it something to do with element formulation for trias?

Hi,
There is nothing much to do with the formulations. Use Ishell=24 and N=5, meanwhile please heck the hourglass energy in the model.
