Hi,

I am trying to recreate a non linear simulation from solidworks in optistruct. For some reasons, the displacements are matching but the stresses are not. I have tried many different approaches mentioned in Tips & Tricks: OptiStruct NonLinear Analysis - OptiStruct - Altair Products - Altair Supporthttps://community.altair.com/csm?id=community_blog&sys_id=538764ab1b3790d4a5f742eddc4bcba4

but it was no use. Can anybody suggest something?

Sorry, i cannot upload any images are files.

Best regards

Vikas

    Hi Vikas,

What is the % difference in stress value? within 5% is acceptable. Is the model in Solidworks having nonlinear contacts? There are lot of parameters available in optistruct contact which can be tuned depending on model requirement. You can refer the PCONT documentation and find out more on this.

    Below is the link.

    PCONT (altair.com)

you can also go through the below tutorial on contact properties and debugging which will give you an idea how the parameters can be used.

OS-T: 1393 Basics of Contact Properties and Debugging (altair.com)

Without having the model, it is difficult to give further suggestions.

I hope you will get some hints from the links shared above which can be applied to your model.

    Thanks
