RBE 2 Independent Node

I have noticed that while creating RBE2, the location of the independent node is really important. If I changed the location of the independent node everytime, the results are changing accordingly.

Now, my question is, should I let the solver to calculate the location of the independent node by itself? or would it be feasible to do it manually?

Thanks in advance

the RBE2 location is handled by the pre-processor, i.e HM, and it could be created manually, or automatically.

If your mesh is uniform enough, your center node would be good enough, as HM creates it at the geometric centroid.

Now if you want more accuracy in the center node, you could first create the center node yourself, and point it while creating the RBE2.

The coordinates will influence on moments carried to the other nodes, but ideally it shouldn't change so much, for slighly variations.
