Student edition request approval

Hi,

I've submitted my request for the student edition about 2 weeks ago and I still haven't heard back about whether it's been approved. Does it normally take this long for requests to be approved? Since from the automatic email reply I've received it says it'd take a week, so I'm not sure if it's because I've provided incorrect information when I submitted the request or it just normally takes more than a week.

    Hi,

    Your request has been approved, it should normally take less than a week, and in most cases less than 2 days.

    Hi Rahul, 

     

    Thanks for your help! I just have one more question. I notice in the email Altair has sent to me has a link for downloading HyperWorks Bundle, somehow it's in windows format but I have a Mac instead of Windows. Does that mean I'll have to reapply? I'm pretty sure the ethernet ID I've provided was a Mac ID, so I'm not sure what to do at this point.

    The MAC version of the student edition has been discontinued except for Inspire studio, Inspire render, and Thea products.

    If MAC is the only available machine, we suggest installing windows in parallel using boot camp and using the software's Windows version. Apple support has all the details on this, https://www.apple.com/in/support/bootcamp/. When you run it in windows, you will need a new license file for the windows ID.
