random response analysis
Hello all,
I am trying to run modal-frequency-response for 3 excitations (x,y,z respectively) in 3 loadcases with the preload provided (STATSUB) for each of them by the same last loadcase of a chain of non-linear loadcases . (The end game is a random response analysis). The header of the input deck is attached.
After the NLSTAT loadcases run OK, only the first (x) of the MFR loadcases runs and then the analysis stops. The y and z loadcases never start. Is there a way around this or is it a OS limitation?
Which of the following scenarios is better:
1. Run the non-linear + normal modes with EIGSAVE and then in another simulation the MFR 3 loadcases with EIGVRETRIEVE for each of them?
2. Run 3 non-linear +each of the MFR (for x, y, z) separately and then ASSIGN the h3d result files into loadcases of a subsequent random response analysis?
The model is rather large and the excitation range of the road input data (g2/Hz) for x,y and z are large as well (all the way up to about 600Hz).
Many thanks

Hi, is this issue fixed? I feel this is a very complicated usecase. We will need to check the out and stat files to see what's happening and we can also set up teams meeting to review your usecase.
You can send files directly to my email xiaolei@altair.com.
Thanks.
