Linear buckling analysis referencing a nonlinear CNTNLSUB solution

Hello,

I am trying to run a linear buckling solution which references a nonlinear static subcase. However, the nonlinear static subcase uses CNTNLSUB to continue results from another nonlinear static case that applies a preload to certain components.

It appears that the linear buckling solution is ignoring the "preload" entirely and is producing identical results if I have the preload turned as if I have it turned off.

Would anybody happen to know why or if I am missing something? Thank you for the help.

    You will need to keep the "preload" at the new load step that are using the "preload" step. So if you are using:
    1) Pretension, you will need to load the pretension at the second load step and check the CNTNLSUB too, using as reference the "preload" load step;

    2) Just a preload, you will need to create a new load collector using LOADADD ("preload" + load2) option, use this load collector as the load in the combined load step ("preload" + load2) and check the CNTNLSUB using the "Preload" load step as reference.
