Is it possible to export Eigenvalues & -vectors into a txt-File?

Hallo everybody,

I would like to export the calculated Eigenvectors at each Node and the Eigenvalues to a txt-File that can be read by Excel. I already know the function 'EIGVSAVE', but this only allows the export into a file with a binary optistruct format.

So is there a way to request the export into an 'Excel-friendly' format??

Thank you a lot in advance!

    Hi DWerner,

Currently there is no command or script available to punch out the frequency’s into an excel. The workaround would be to copy all the frequency’s from your result file (*.out) and paste

the same into text pad and save this file as a *.csv file, this you can open it in excel.

Hope this helps and do let us know if you need any further clarifications.

    Hey !

In fact, there is a possibility to export the eigenvectors to *txt file (can be read easily via Python or Matlab)

Well, the solution is, when you submit your job, go to HyperView and then select VECTOR : <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>image.thumb.png.bdeec1273910977f34e20cf9cdde23ae.png

after that select your nodes and your system ...

    and click on Query Results

    ...

    Tell me if you find some difficulties :)/emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />

    Cheers !
