Activate Inputs in Cosimulation do not effect model

Hi! I'm having trouble giving inputs to the motors in my model through Activate. The model runs perfectly in MotionView, but if I try to do a cosimulation of the model using Activate, nothing seems to change the motion analysis.

I've attached a screenshot of Activate along with the xml file and the Inspire model. I tried giving an input of 100 to the angle motor in the Inspire model, but it always moved upto 45 degrees only (as given in inspire). I set several inputs but nothing changed the run analysis. I understand that in MotionSolve, you can use VARVAL() as an expression along with solver variables to enable Activate to control inputs to the motors. I tried using this method, but it didn't work or perhaps I'm doing something wrong. How do I solve this issue?

Daniella,

When you export a '.mdl' from Inspire Motion to be used on Activate in a co-sim, and want to use a controller on Activate, you have to include a Constant Block with value "1" on "Override" as present below:

If you do not include that block, the multibody model will follow the command from Inspire as you saw.

Thank you! I tried this earlier, the beam starts to oscillate indefinitely instead of moving to the given angle input (100). How do we control this?

Give a try with a "Step" input block instead of "Constant", besides that, maybe the magnitude of your torque is too high, and the systems will start unstable.
