Sum of Strain Energy

Hi to all,

I have a large output file containing each mesh element's strain energy value. I want to get the sum of strain energy for my model. I found a related post that mentioned a script. However, I could not find the script. Can anyone help me to find the script?

Hello @Mirhan Özdemir ,

 

If you are dealing with OptiStruct computation, then you can ask in the OUTPUT for a direct extraction of stran energy by part instead of by element.

If you are dealing wirth other solvers, please load your results in HyperView with Result Math Template set ton Advanced.

Then create a Derived Result (right click anywhere in the browser) and UseBCElemToPArt to aggregate results to the part
