Is it possible to model a tapered pipe in Hyperworks using 1D?

If it's possible, can someone point me to some guide? I need to model it in 1D as the other members connected to it are in 1D too.

Thanks

    yes, it is possible.

You can launch the Help, under OptiStruct section, Reference Guide, and search for PBEAML, which is the beam property.

This allows you to use a tapered beam, by defining different "stations", each one with its own dimensions.

    Thank you.

This one is only for tapered rod, not tube :(

I am looking for a way to model a tapered tube (with an inner radius, not a solid rod).

I believe this is possible in PBEAML and other section such as tube. The only thig in this case is that this is a simplified taper consideration, with some averaging. For ROD a real tapered beam will be calculated.
